The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and its impact on our membership is unprecedented and changing rapidly. The well-being of our members is, and has always been, our #1 priority.
Out of an abundance of caution, all in person meetings of the Philippine-American Association of Alabama members, officers, committees and Directors are suspended until further notice. This was a difficult decision to make but we believe it is the right one.
Physical and mental health is extremely important, especially during stressful and uncertain times. We encourage you to exercise as is appropriate for you age and health, and to maintain socially appropriate contact with other PAAA, Inc. members and your larger communities.
Our Sincerest Wishes,
The PAAA Board of Directors and Executive Board
Dear fellow members of the PAAA, Inc.:
I hope this letter will find you all in good health and spirits. As we all know, the PAAA, Inc. events and activities have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 restrictions recently lifted on Friday, April 9, 2021, hopefully will allow us to resume our activities sooner than later. This is the reason why I am informing you about the first event that we are planning to have, which is the Election of Officers.
Per our Constitution and Bylaws, the election should take place on the first Saturday in August. As the chairperson of the Elections Committee, I am looking for candidates who are interested in running for office to serve our association. The candidate must be a member 90 days prior to the election, and in good standing. More details will follow. A response at your earliest convenience, would be greatly appreciated.
Gloria P. Vergara

Please contact Gloria or any Association Officer if your are interested in running for office.
